The Long Island Pilot Project will consist of on-line learning, live presenters (Al Condeluci, Kathy McCarthy-Proulx, Guy Caruso and others) and video learning, facilitated by Kathy McCarthy-Proulx.  Self-advocates, parents and family members residing in the Hudson Valley region, NYC and Long Island are eligible to apply for the program. ADULT SIBLINGS WANTED
  • The NYS DDPC is developing a workgroup comprised of adult siblings of individuals with developmental disabilities or those who have a vested interest in the issues surrounding siblings.  The intent of this workgroup is to discuss the issues/concerns that siblings face on a daily basis. Workgroup members should be willing to share their experiences, frustrations, successes, needs and desires by participating in scheduled, guided conference calls. These discussions will then be used to direct future DDPC programs and policies related to siblings outreach, training, etc. DDPC is currently looking for participants in the following DDSO regions: WESTERN NY, SUNMOUNT, BROOME and HUDSON VALLEY.                             Please contact Jim Huben or Alison Newman at (518) 486-7505 if you or someone you know is interested in participating
